Like Groupe Bel, Virbac Paprec 3 announce a pit stop into Wellington


The first boat to enter the Cook Strait, Barcelona World Race leaders Virbac-Paprec 3, were less than 30 miles away from the city of Wellington at 0700hrs this morning, with an anticipated arrival time on the dock at Chaffers Marina at around 1100hrs (CET) _ 2300hrs New Zealand time.

Stopping to make better headway


Forty five days at sea and nearly half of this round-the-world. We're getting there slowly. Well, not that slowly actually, since although the wind eased off a good bit as we sailed up to less extreme latitudes (50°25S yesterday, Sunday), we were able to hoist the mended spirate, and with a calmer sea, our average remains high.
